Birendra Singh Bhat (Nepali: वीरेन्द्र सिंह भाट), also known as Birendra Bhat Bipin (Nepali: वीरेन्द्र भाट 'विपिन), is a Nepalese visual editor, director, animator, and graphic designer. He is the founder and head of World Cover Media Pvt. Ltd., a media company producing music videos, documentaries, and films in Nepal.

Early life and education

Birendra Singh Bhat was born on 21 May 1985 in Patan-03, Baitadi District, Nepal, to Shankar Singh Bhat and Janaki Bhat. He completed his School Leaving Certificate (SLC) in 2058 BS and pursued higher education in Humanities. He earned a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) degree with specialization in English from Tribhuvan University.

Career

Bhat began his career in 2001, working in the Nepalese film, music, and television industries. He has expertise in video editing, animation, cinematography, directing, and graphic design.

In 2012, he founded World Cover Media Pvt. Ltd., which produces folk music videos, documentaries, short feature films, and public service announcements. The company has produced thousands of music videos and numerous documentaries and advocacy programs.

Bhat is proficient in advanced animation software, including MAYA, and handles most post-production work himself.

Bhat has edited and directed various music videos and feature films, including:

  • Mero Katha

He has worked on social documentaries for organizations such as USAID and the Government of Nepal, as well as TV commercials, public service announcements, and comedy programs.
