Bharath Sagar (born 26 September 1992) is an Indian actor, model, pharmacist, and farmer who primarily appears in Kannada-language films. He made his lead debut in the film Kalave Mosagaara (2025), after appearing in supporting roles in films like Aatakkuntu Lekkakkilla and Mayanagari. He has also been involved in modeling and is trained in theatre.
Early life
[edit]Bharath was born in Bhadravathi, Karnataka. His father R. S. M. Joseph is a retired military officer and his mother is Veena. His grandfather was a doctor. He completed schooling at Jnana Shyadri and H. Shivalingappa School, studied at Lal Bahadur College, and earned degrees in pharmacy from Sarada Vilas College, Mysuru (BPharm), and Mallige College, Bengaluru (MPharm).
He was active in theatre during his student years, training under Master Sashidhar Barighat (BHARA troupe) and Mounesh Bariga (Thadarupi group).
Career
[edit]Bharath began his film career with a supporting role in the Kannada film Aatakkuntu Lekkakkilla (2019). He later appeared in Mayanagari (2023). His breakthrough came with the pan-India release Kalave Mosagaara (2025), in which he played the lead role. The film was released in five languages — Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Hindi — and received modest regional attention.[1]
In an interview with Cinema Express, Bharath described his transition from modeling to cinema as a "leap of faith" and highlighted the film's psychological thriller elements.[2]
He has also been associated with upcoming Kannada films like Maarika and Apache, currently in production.

Personal life
[edit]Apart from acting, Bharath holds a master's degree in pharmacy and works in agriculture. He is also involved in modeling and frequently participates in local theatre productions. He is unmarried and lives in Karnataka.
