Baruipur Mohun Bagan Fans' Club (BMBFC) is the first officially registered Mohun Bagan fan club from Baruipur, West Bengal, India. Founded in 2022, the club is known for its matchday enthusiasm, social initiatives, and widespread community involvement. It is officially registered under the Government of West Bengal with the registration number S0052397..[1].

History

Baruipur Mohun Bagan Fans' Club was formed in 2022 by a group of passionate supporters of Mohun Bagan Super Giant. The club was established with the aim of organizing the local supporter base in Baruipur and promoting fan culture rooted in community engagement.

Official Registration

In 2022, BMBFC became the first Mohun Bagan fans' group from Baruipur to gain official registration under the Government of West Bengal[2].

Activities

Victory Rally

[edit]

Following Mohun Bagan’s historic double triumph (winning both the Indian Super League and the Durand Cup), BMBFC organized a celebratory victory rally on 27th May 2024. The event was covered by the local community media.

Christmas Initiative

In December 2023, the club organized a special Christmas initiative for ground staff, distributing food and essentials. This activity was featured by TV9 Bangla[3]

Tree Plantation Drive

On 5th June 2024, BMBFC conducted a tree plantation drive across multiple schools in the Madarat area of Baruipur:

Blood Donation Camp

The club organized its first blood donation camp in July 2023. The initiative was widely praised and shared by the official Mohun Bagan Super Giant social media page on Instagram[4]

Public Screenings and Community Events

In 2024, the club hosted a live public screening of the Kolkata Derby match in Baruipur. The event drew a large turnout and received appreciation from the official club handles.

Fan Engagement

Members of the Baruipur Mohun Bagan Fans' Club actively participate in matchday celebrations at the Mohun Bagan stadium. A photograph of BMBFC members was shared by the club’s official social media page.

Recognition

During the July 2024 blood donation camp, the club received best wishes from three of the most iconic names in Indian football:

  • Sunil Chhetri[5]
  • Jose Ramirez Barreto
  • Subrata Bhattacharya

These messages were seen as symbolic recognitions of the fan club’s community-driven spirit and dedication to football culture.
