History

[edit]

Bangladesh Civilian Force was founded in 2018 with the aim of ensuring digital protection and taking social and cyber initiatives against anti-state propaganda. Since its inception, the organization has been conducting awareness and preventive activities on various national and international issues.

Activities

[edit]
  • Raising public awareness about cybercrime
  • Identifying and protesting against anti-state rumors and propaganda
  • Conducting training and workshops on digital security
  • Running promotional campaigns on national days and events

Notable Incidents

[edit]

In 2024, in response to Israel's aggression against Palestine, Bangladesh Civilian Force launched a cyber attack on the country. During this operation, they:

  • Took down 5 official Israeli websites,
  • Hacked and damaged 14 websites,
  • Gained access to nearly 700 Israeli citizens' computers,
  • Hacked Israel's submarine system and broadcasted a live video message.

Criticism

[edit]

While some consider the organization to be biased or politically motivated, BCF consistently claims to be a neutral, public-interest-based, and patriotic organization.
