Bahador Sehat (born 9 May 1991) is an Iranian singer, composer, and multi-instrumentalist specializing in Persian traditional and fusion music. He is known for his performances in musical theater, television series, and independent music compositions.
Biography
[edit]Bahador Sehat was born in Isfahan, Iran. He began his musical training at the age of nine, studying classical Persian vocals under Qasem Me'marzadeh. At sixteen, he started learning the setar and later became a direct student of master Mohammad-Reza Lotfi for three years.[1]
Sehat holds a bachelor's degree in Iranian Instrumental Performance from the University of Gilan and a master's degree from the University of Tehran, ranking seventh in the national entrance exam.[2] He has studied under other notable instructors including Dariush Talai, Dariush Pirniakan, Siamak Jahangiri, Hooman As'adi, and Reza Parvizzadeh.
Musical Career
[edit]Sehat has performed with music ensembles such as "Shahrzad" and "Mahtab-Ro" in cultural centers like Roudaki Hall, Vahdat Hall, and Arasbaran.
In 2023, he played the lead vocal narrator in the opera-theatre Pirooz and Parizad directed by Ali Ghamsari, staged for 40 nights at Tehran’s Vahdat Hall.[3]
He also performed songs such as "Be Sooye To" and "Mousam-e Gol" for the popular Iranian TV series The Undergrads (Lisānseh-hā) directed by Soroush Sehat.[4]
In cinema, he recorded the ending theme for the film Dance with Me (Jahān bā man beraghs), directed by Soroush Sehat.[5]
Notable Works
[edit]- Dar Khiali – composed by Ehsan Matoori and Ali Montazeri, with lyrics by Alireza Kaliaei. This piece featured musicians including Hamid Behrouzi-Nia, Ali Jafari-Pouyan, Meysam Marvasti, and Mehrdad Alami.[6]
- Dokhtaran-e Naneh Darya – inspired by a poem by Ahmad Shamlou, praised by music critics.[7]

Mehr News Agency published a full photo report on the opera-theater Pirooz and Parizad featuring Sehat as the lead singer.[9]
