B. V. Bhaskar is an Indian cricketer, actor, and banker, best known for his performances in the Celebrity Cricket League (CCL) and contributions to Kannada cinema. He currently serves as a Deputy Manager at the State Bank of India..[1]
Biography
[edit]B. V. Bhaskar was born in Mysore, Karnataka, India. His father, Mr. Venkatarajachar, was a scientist who worked in the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) under Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam. His mother, Smt. Jayalakshmi, worked as a state government school teacher.
He completed his graduation in Bangalore. A passionate sportsman, Bhaskar pursued cricket professionally and reached the Ranji Trophy level. He notably played against the Bangladesh national team under the captaincy of Rahul Dravid. He also played minor county cricket in England and Scotland.
Banking Career
[edit]After his cricketing career, B. V. Bhaskar joined the State Bank of India, where he currently holds the position of Deputy Manager.
Acting Career
[edit]Bhaskar's acting journey began with his selection for a theatre play at Rangashankara. During this production, he was noticed by noted Kannada filmmaker S. Narayan, who cast him in films alongside veteran actor Ambareesh. He went on to appear in multiple Kannada films
