Draft:Axoflow

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Axoflow is a cybersecurity technology company developing a platform to process and route security telemetry data. The company was founded in 2023 and has been noted for its open-source product AxoSyslog and work to minimize log volumes and curate data. Third-party media mention and independent analyst commentary have referenced its visibility in the observability pipeline space, but comprehensive third-party evaluation is limited.

History

[edit]

Axoflow was founded in 2023 by Balázs Scheidler, the creator of syslog-ng, Ferenc Hernádi, and Sándor Guba. Axoflow was first founded in Hungary but eventually had its headquarters in New York City.[1]}

In July 2023, Axoflow raised $2.5 million in seed investment from Credo Ventures, 500 Emerging Europe, and others.[2] A subsequent funding of €6.7 million (or $7 million) was raised in January 2025 with the EBRD Venture Capital leadership.[3]}

In April 2025, the firm announced the general availability of its lead platform at the RSA Conference.[4]

Products

[edit]

Axoflow's primary offering is a data pipeline platform that simplifies the ingestion, parsing, enrichment, and routing of security log data. Axoflow has an open-source syslog collector, AxoSyslog, which is built on top of syslog-ng, with greater support for eBPF, TLS, and custom filtering.[5]

Certification

[edit]

Axoflow announced in 2024 it had become ISO/IEC 27001 certified for its information security controls.[6] This has not yet been confirmed by external sources.

Coverage

[edit]

The *Software Analyst Market Guide 2025* described Axoflow as a major new entrant in the security telemetry space, citing volume reduction and automation approach. [7] Other publications such as *The Recursive* and *SecurityWeek* reported on the company's fundraising and product releases. [1][3][4] This is a consciously lean and balanced draft to meet WP:NPOV and avoid trivial coverage inflation. Currently, the article only has one in-depth analyst source (Software Analyst) and two independent but trivial sources (SecurityWeek, The Recursive). Under WP:GNG, additional coverage is yet to be included before this can be submitted for approval. Additional sources to follow up: – Feature or profile piece in a major tech/business source – Third-party product review or customer case study – Quoted in a Forrester, IDC, or Gartner report --
