Austism Eye is a magazine aimed at providing parents with information about raising young people with an autism spectrum disorder.[1] It is edited by Gillian Loughran, who has a son with autism.[2]
On launching the title, Gillian Loughran told Press Gazette that after feeling left in the dark about her son’s condition, they felt that they could help others parents with a magazine about the issues surrounding autism.[1]
In the past, Gillian has used her platform as an editor to voice her opinions on issues involving autistic young people. For example, when speaking to The Express she critised the use of 'punishment rooms' in schools for disciplining autistic children. [3]
