  • Comment: Do not use blogs as sources. iMDB is an unreliable source. Too much of the article is unsourced, specifically towards the start. From how I'm reading the article, I'm not quite sure how this band is notable aside from the fact they released music. Rambley (talk) 14:13, 20 June 2025 (UTC)

Annie Minogue Band (American Band)

[edit]

Annie Minogue Band is a musical group based in New York City, known for a sound that incorporates elements of rock, pop, and blues. The band's style draws influence from artists such as The Rolling Stones, The Black Crowes, Fleetwood Mac, Janis Joplin, Sheryl Crow, Ann Wilson, and Patti Smith.

History

[edit]

The band was formed in 1998 by singer-songwriter Annie Minogue following the dissolution of her previous project, Ghost Of A God. During her time in that band, she met drummer Nick Saya, who would become her long-term collaborator.

Members of the Annie Minogue Band have backgrounds in both live performance and studio recording. Guitarist Nunzio Signore has worked as a session musician with artists including Brian McKnight, Samantha Fox, Bo Diddley, Destiny's Child, and T.M. Stevens. Bassist Brian Karp was previously a member of Letters to Cleo and contributed to the songwriting of the single "Here and Now." Drummer Nick Saya has performed with Blood, Sweat & Tears, Tom "Bones" Malone, Blue Lou Marini, Lenny Pickett, and the Screaming Headless Torsos.

Annie Minogue is also a co-founder of Fair Play: A Concert Series for Justice[1], an annual event aimed at raising funds and awareness for social justice causes. The initiative has partnered with nonprofit organizations including the Bronx Immigration Partnership and Her Justice.
