The American Society for AI is a private organization that hosts technologists, executives, and politicians involved in Artificial intelligence.[1] The meetings are held in the first week of June on the East Coast and the first week of December on the West Coast. The meetings, which last two days, are off the record and behind closed doors.

The club has an invitation-only membership system. Meeting locations are not disclosed to the public. Members are instructed not to share event details or name other members. The press is not allowed to attend.[2]

The organization is modeled after the Alfalfa Club and the G7 Summit,[3] and is headquartered in Washington, D.C. as a non-profit organization.[4]

History

The American Society for AI was founded by Rei Llazani.[3] Its inaugural gathering was hosted at the Fairmont Hotel in San Francisco on December 8–9, 2023.

Subsequent gatherings:

  • Carlyle Hotel, New York City – June 7–8, 2024
  • Fairmont, Sonoma, California – December 8–9, 2024
  • Ritz Carlton, Boston – June 27–28, 2025 (planned)[5]
