Aleksey Yurievich Savin, born April 9, 1946, is a lieutenant-general of the Soviet (and then Russian) armed forces. He was enlisted in 1964 and retired in 2004.

Career

  • reearcher, Institute of Theoretical Cybernetics, specializing in aircraft systems.
  • senior officer, Department of Armament of the Ministry of Defense of the USSR.
  • From late 1989, Savin was the commander of military unit 10003, dealing with applications of parapsychology to warfare.

Savin holds military awards for participation in the conflicts in Afghanistan and Caucasus (known as the first Chechen war).
