Aldeas — A New Story is an upcoming feature-length documentary film directed by American filmmaker Martin Scorsese honoring the late Pope Francis and features the Francis' final on-camera interview.[1] It covers the work of Scholas Occurrentes’ latest “Aldeas” cinema initiative.[2] In a statement before his death, Pope Francis stated "Aldeas’ is an extremely poetic and very constructive project because it goes to the roots of what human life is, human sociability, human conflicts… the essence of a life’s journey."[3][4]
