Alberto Guardabasso (born July 19, 1994) is an Italian fashion journalist, model, and media contributor.

Early life and education

He studied fashion design at the University of Bologna and later completed a master’s degree in communication and fashion marketing at Harim Euromediterranean Accademy in Catania.[1]

Career

In 2017, he moved to Milan and began working for the local newspaper MilanoFree, where he wrote his own fashion column and reviewed the most important fashion shows (Paris, Milan, New York).[citation needed]

In 2018, Forbes included him in its Forbes 30 Under 30 list of 100 Italians who want to change the world, placing him among the top five in the online clothing sector.[2]

In 2020, alongside his studies, he collaborated with Il Corriere della Sera on the Style Magazine project and during fashion week he attended and reviewed shows during Milan and Paris fashion weeks, together with illustrious figures from the international scene.[citation needed]

In 2022, Guardabasso moved to Nice, France, where he began engaging more actively with the international fashion scene. During this period, he established a professional connection with American editor Stephen Gan and contributed to editorial content for the New York-based bimonthly magazines V Magazine and VMAN. His work included coverage of fashion weeks and collaborations with various fashion houses.[citation needed]

In 2024, he joined Philipp Plein's company as a stylist and advisor on new trends.[citation needed]


In the same year, Alberto was chosen as a model and appeared in the Hugo Boss Spring/Summer 2025 campaign, photographed in Cappadocia, in the Red Valley of Göreme.[3][4]


In 2025, he attended the 78th Cannes Film Festival as a guest and as an Italian fashion journalist.[citation needed]

In February 2025, he was selected by TV presenter Carlo Conti at the 2025 Sanremo Festival (Italian Song Festival) as an official member of the RAI (Italian Radio and Television) jury of experts, participating in the voting process.[5][6]
