Career
[edit][A journey through Sound
Raised in a God-fearing family in Ikorodu Odogunyan, Remuwise faced challenges that shaped his journey. After relocating to Akure, Ondo State he completed his secondary education, always feeling a connection with God through it all. “It was tough, but I knew it was okay with God,” he reflects.
His passion for music ignited at the age of nine, and now in his early twenties, he draws inspiration from artists like **Wizkid**, **Bnxn**, and **Ayox**. Passionate about **Afro Fusion**, **Afrobeat**, and **Hip-Hop**, he channels personal experiences, emotions, and observations into his songwriting. “I love brainstorming ideas, melodies, and experimenting with rhythms,” he shares.
Remuwise has already achieved notable recognition, winning the Best Artist Performance award at the Ojodu Beggar Events 2019, sponsored by Cowbell. Currently, he is working on his first album, incorporating collaborations with talented artists that showcase his unique sound.
Looking ahead, he dreams of building a loyal fanbase, winning awards, and embarking on national and international tours. “I want to develop a unique sound while maintaining a sustainable career,” he expresses excitedly.
Balancing his music aspirations with being a 200-level Economics student is no easy feat. “Education is key to success,” he believes, emphasizing the importance of merging both passions. “I can’t drop my education for music, nor my music for education. I believe in both.”
His music touches on themes of love and unity, hope and resilience, self-empowerment, and Emotional healing. He also aims to promote social justice, spiritual growth, and mindfulness, encouraging listeners to live in the present moment.
