Agios Stefanos, or San Stefanos (Greek: Άγιος Στέφανος) is a small fishing village situated near Kassiopi, nestled in-between Avlaki and Kerasia on the northeast coast of Corfu. The village is home to the Church of Saint Stephen and Saint George. During the summertime it is a vibrant holiday destination with restaurants, bars, supermarkets, shops, and boat rentals.[1] The northeast coast of Corfu in which Agios Stefanos is situated was once referred to as Kensington-on-Sea in an article featured in The Guardian due to its affluent frequenters.[2]

Due to the similarity in names there is sometimes confusion between Agios Stefanos, Avliotes, located in the northwest and Agios Stefanos, Kassiopi, located in the northeast.

Controversy arose in protest toward plans of construction and development of Erimitis, a nature reserve that neighbours Avlaki and Agios Stefanos.[3] The "Save Erimitis" project is still ongoing.[4] As of 3 Jun 2025, Enimerosi reports the written request for cessation of work in Agios Stefanos by The Ministry of Culture Inspectorate of Antiquities.[5]
