[1]Africa Institute of Medical Sciences and Technology AIMST was founded as a [2]charitable not for profit organization a 501(c)(3) part of the Aseya Africa Inc. In concert with United Nations Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), [3]The United States President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief(PEPFAR), The President's Malaria Initiative (PMI) and USAID's Global Health objectives.The mission of the organization was to develop sustainable social and economic advancements and reduce infant mortality in the Central Region of Ghana. Composed of a Fulbright Scholar, doctors,engineers and various Ministries of Ghana. The diplomatic mission was an American and Ghanaian public-private global health development program which would impact present and future generations in the region.

Started in Atlanta,Georgia 2014 by founder [6]Dr. Elizabeth Garbrah-Aidoo and board members who are forward thinkers and first generation Ghanaians from Accra, Ghana. Dr. Garbrah-Aidoo is a world renowned scholar and studied in Cairo,Egypt as a [7]Fulbrighter. As an adjunct professor at Morehouse College in Atlanta, Georgia Dr.Garbrah-Aidoo taught courses on the American Presidency and Public Management.

Projects & Development

AIMST set its sights on solving emergencies in Senya Beraku and the Volta Region of Ghana. To make good on the mission the organization needed brilliant minds of diverse backgrounds. Recruitment began by selecting [8]Morehouse College alumnus, architects, doctors and heads of ministries. In 2014 a small delegation of the team traveled from the United States to Accra, Ghana to organize meetings and tour sites for development. The organization met with USAID Director of Global Health to present site development plans and request for proposals. Project Volta Region was focused on building medical teaching hospitals to train nurses, midwives and pediatricians.In 2014 the founder and board members secured 500 acres in Senya Beraku for development.
