Draft:Adrian Rocca

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
  • Comment: Well done on creating the draft, and it may potentially meet the relevant requirements (including WP:GNG, WP:ANYBIO) but presently it is not clear that it does.
As other reviewers have noted, Wikipedia's basic requirement for entry is that the subject is notable. Essentially subjects are presumed notable if they have received significant coverage in multiple published secondary sources that are reliable, intellectually independent of each other, and independent of the subject. To properly create such a draft page, please see the articles ‘Your First Article’, ‘Referencing for Beginners’ and ‘Easier Referencing for Beginners’.
Please note that some of the references would appear to be from sources that are NOT considered reliable for establishing notability and should be removed (including blogs, company websites, press releases, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, Spotify etc).
Additionally, the draft tends to read too much like a promotional CV, which Wikipedia is not; and contains prose that is not of a standard appropriate for an encyclopaedia (also see WP:PEACOCK).
Also, if you have any connection to the subject, including being the subject (see WP:AUTOBIO) or being paid, you have a conflict of interest that you must declare on your Talk page (to see instructions on how to do this please click the link), not just on this draft page (thank you for doing so here)
Please familiarise yourself with these pages before amending the draft. If you feel you can meet these requirements, then please make the necessary amendments before resubmitting the page. It would help our volunteer reviewers by identifying, on the draft's talk page, the WP:THREE best sources that establish notability of the subject.
It would also be helpful if you could please identify with specificity, exactly which criteria you believe the page meets (eg "I think the page now meets WP:ANYBIO criteria #3, because XXXXX").
Once you have implemented these suggestions, you may also wish to leave a note for me on my talk page and I would be happy to reassess. Cabrils (talk) 02:06, 22 June 2025 (UTC)

Adrian Rocca (born August 22, 1981) is a Canadian real estate executive and philanthropist, best known as the founder and CEO of Fitzrovia, a major developer of purpose-built rental housing in Canada. With over 20 years of experience in real estate and principal investing, he has been involved in transactions exceeding $20 billion across Canada, the United States, and Europe.[1]

Professional background

[edit]

At Fitzrovia, Rocca leads a vertically integrated platform that manages development, construction, and property management in-house. The company has over 9,000 residential units in development and $10 billion in assets under management, focusing on creating community-oriented rental housing in Toronto and beyond.[2][3]

Prior to founding Fitzrovia, Rocca held senior roles at Tricon Capital, where he led both Tricon Luxury Residences Canada and Tricon Lifestyle Communities, a U.S.-focused manufactured housing business. He also served as a Director at Apollo Real Estate Advisors in London, U.K., and worked as an investment banking associate at Credit Suisse First Boston in Toronto and London.[4]

Fitzrovia

[edit]

In 2017, Rocca founded Fitzrovia, a Canadian real estate development company focused on purpose-built rental housing. Fitzrovia's portfolio spans a variety of rental housing types, including the Fitzrovia Collection—newly constructed Class-A rental communities—as well as modern vintage communities and student accommodations.[2][5] Under Rocca's leadership, Fitzrovia has become one of Canada's largest developers of purpose-built rental housing.[6]

Recent Activities

[edit]

In July 2024, Rocca was appointed to the board of directors of the Canadian Olympic Foundation, which supports Canadian athletes and sports initiatives [7][8].

In 2024, Rocca participated in the Humour Me charity event in support of Mount Sinai Hospital, performing stand-up comedy and raising over $1.2 million, setting a new individual fundraising record for the initiative [9].

Rocca is a founding supporter of the “Great to Gold” program, which provides targeted financial support to Canadian athletes with strong medal potential. Developed in partnership with Own the Podium, the program identifies athletes based on performance metrics and international rankings. Rocca is part of a small group of private donors working to close funding gaps in Canada’s high-performance sport system [10][11].

Recognition

[edit]

In 2023, Adrian Rocca received the EY Entrepreneur Of The Year® award.[12] In 2024, Toronto Life included Rocca in its annual The Influentials list, citing both his business activities and philanthropic work, including contributions to Canada's Olympic team.[13] In 2025, Rocca received the Riley Brethour Leadership Award by the Building Industry and Land Development Association (BILD).[14]

Personal Life

[edit]

Rocca attended St. Michael’s College School in Toronto, graduating in 2000. Rocca subsequently attended Western University, where he earned an Honours Business Administration (HBA) degree from the Ivey School of Business in 2004. While at Western, he also played on the Mustangs football team. A 2003 article in The Varsity, the University of Toronto’s student newspaper, noted that "The Mustangs’ defense is just as strong as their offense, with Adrian Rocca and Chad Asselstine leading the defensive line[15].
