A War Inside is the first single off the album "A Letter Home" by American musician, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, Thomas May.
The song, release on February 25th, 2025, features lyrics that deal with loss, loneliness, drug abuse and recovery and pain. A vivid picture of the world the "storyteller" is experiencing.
With a haunting, echoing sound, pacing and delivery, restraining emotion in order to deliver the message. The lyrics lean hard into vulnerability and openness about the pain being felt.
