AXI Finance IFN S.A. is a Romanian non-banking financial institution founded in 2015, headquartered in Bucharest.[1] The company is the Romanian subsidiary of the Bulgarian group Access Finance Ltd., which is part of the Management Financial Group (MFG).[2][3]
History and Establishment
AXI Finance IFN S.A. was established on October 12, 2015, as a non-banking financial institution and was registered in the Special Register of Non-Banking Financial Institutions held by the National Bank of Romania (BNR) under number RS-PJR-41-110167 as of November 4, 2024.[4] The company is also registered as a personal data operator with the National Supervisory Authority for Personal Data Processing under number 37715.[5]
The company started its operations in the Romanian market at the beginning of 2017 by launching the AXI Card credit card.[6] This product followed the success of a similar product in Bulgaria, where the parent company Access Finance offers the "White Card" (Biala Karta) since 2013.[7]
