ANA Lagos is the Lagos branch of the Association of Nigerian Authors.[1][2] [3] A nonprofit organisation established to promote creative writers and literature. [4]The organisation provides a platform for writers to connect, learn from each other, and develop their craft. It was founded on 27th June, 1981.[5] The current chairman of ANA Lagos is Olatunbosun Taofeek, who lives and writes from Lagos, Nigeria.[6][7]
Lagos writers village
[edit]ANA Lagos envisions a writers village in the city of Lagos by working towards actualising a village within the city to serve as a space for writers and other creatives to develop their craft, network with other visiting writers and creatives and find inspiration for more creativity.[8][9] It will be a hub for writers drawing inspiration from Lagos as a major economic and cultural centre.[10] It was conceived by Olatunbosun Taofeek and strongly supported by the current president, Usman Akanbi. [11]This vision was born out of the fact that Lagos is a resourceful and boisterous city that should be a home to writing and great writers.[12]
