26th Air Defence Battalion (Estonian: 26.õhutõrjepataljon) of the 2nd Infantry Brigade is a reserve air defence battalion of the Estonian Land Forces. During peacetime, the unit is tasked with preparing reserve personnel through training exercises. During wartime, the unit is tasked with providing air defence support for combat units.
History
[edit]The 26th Air Defence Battalion was formed together with the 2nd Infantry Brigade on August 1, 2014. The battalion received its insignia on February 22, 2024 [1]. The unit is equipped with Mistral rockets and ZU-23-2 air defence cannons. has been participating in exercises since at least 2014.
