Ágnes Kun (1915-1990) was a Hungarian translator and editor, the daughter of Béla Kun and Irén Gál. In the early 1920s she followed her father to the Soviet Union, where she married the poet Antal Hidas. She translated a number of Hungarian authors during the 1940s, including Géza Gárdonyi. During the Great Purge she was fired from her job at a publishing house, while her father was executed and her husband imprisoned.[1] She and her husband returned to Hungary in 1959.
