Demonte Colony 3 (also marketed as Demonte Colony III: The End is Too Far) is an upcoming Indian Tamil-language supernatural horror thriller film written and directed by R. Ajay Gnanamuthu and produced by Passion Studios, Dangal TV, RDC Media and Gnanamuthu Pattarai, it is third instalment in the Demonte Colony film series after Demonte Colony (2015) and Demonte Colony 2 (2024). The film stars Arulnithi and Priya Bhavani Shankar in the lead roles, alongside Meenakshi Govindarajan, Archana Ravichandran and Muthukumar, all reprising their role from the previous films.
Principal photography began in July 2025 in Chennai. The film has music composed by Sam C. S., with cinematography by Sivakumar Vijayan and editing by Kumaresh D.

Production

[edit]On 22 May 2022, the seventh anniversary of director R. Ajay Gnanamuthu and actor Arulnithi's Demonte Colony (2015), the director revealed the film's sequel, in which Arulnithi will reprise his role as the protagonist.[1] Ajay also mentioned that he had stories ready for a third and fourth films,[2] making Demonte Colony a four-part franchise.[3] During the promotions of the second instalment, Demonte Colony 2 (2024), Arulnithi also hinted about having possible sequels and expanding it upto four instalments.[4] After the success of the second film, Ajay confirmed that the writing process for the third part would soon begin,[5] once he completes a television series starring Pooja Hegde.[6]
In early April 2025, using a photo of himself and his crew in Sliema,[7] Ajay announced that the third instalment of the Demonte Colony franchise will be his next project.[8] He also confirmed that Priya Bhavani Shankar, Meenakshi Govindarajan, Archana Ravichandran and Muthukumar, who were part of the second film, would reprise their roles in the third.[9] On the tenth anniversary of the first instalment, Demonte Colony, Ajay announced that the third film's pre-production is underway.[10] The film is jointly produced by Passion Studios, Dangal TV, RDC Media and Gnanamuthu Pattarai,[citation needed] while the title surfaced over the social media had a tagline The End is Too Far.[11]
Filming
[edit]Principal photography began with the first schedule on 7 July 2025 in Chennai.[12] Priya Bhavani Shankar disclosed that she had joined in the film's production by posting a photo of herself on the set.[13]
Music
[edit]The soundtrack and background score for the film is composed by Sam C. S in his fifth collaboration with Arulnithi[a] and his second and continued collaboration with Ajay after Demonte Colony 2.[14]
