Darkglass Electronics is a bass guitar equipment company based in Helsinki, Finland. Darkglass was founded in 2009 by Chilean engineer Douglas Castro.[1] In 2022, Darkglass was bought by Korg.[2]

The brand is known for their characteristic aggressive overdriven tones that manage to still keep the thickness on the lower end, something that usually happens on most bass overdrive/distortion pedals.

Products

[edit]

The company originally produced several bass effects pedals, including Overdrive,[3] Compressor[4] and Fuzz,[5] and has expanded its range to building amps, cabinets and accessories.

Their most famous pedals include the Microtubes B7K Ultra, Vintage Ultra, Alpha Omega, and the Hyper Luminal Compressor.[6]
