History

[edit]

Damco Solutions was founded on May 1, 1996, in Faridabad, Haryana, India, by Mohit Gupta and Dimple Gupta.[3] Over the years, the company has expanded its operations globally, providing services to clients in North America, the United Kingdom and Europe, and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region.[4]

By 1999, the company had diversified its offerings across various technology stacks, and in 2001, it opened its first international delivery centers in the United States and the United Kingdom.

In 2015, the company adopted an industry-specific strategy, focusing initially on the insurance sector. By 2020, Damco repositioned itself as a digital transformation partner, investing in AI and strategy consulting services.

Damco was named a Great Place to Work for 2023–2024 and 2024–2025,[5][6] and was featured in Everest Group’s 2024 PEAK Matrix Assessment for low-code application development services.[7]

In 2024, Damco launched its Enterprise AI Consulting Practice to help organisations maximise the business value of artificial intelligence. This initiative focuses on identifying practical AI use cases, developing AI-powered applications, and establishing strong data and governance frameworks.[8]

Damco provides BrokerEdge—a broker management platform to support retail and wholesale insurance brokers in managing policies, claims, commissions, and client relationships through a unified dashboard and configurable tools.

Additionally, Damco Startup Studio—a comprehensive product engineering suite—caters to the needs of startups by helping them accelerate MVP development, access tech expertise, and scale products efficiently.[9]
