Claire Marin (born 14 November 1974) is a French writer, philosopher and philosophy teacher.

Life

Claire Marin was born on 14 November 1974 in Paris. She grew up in Grigny, near Nantes. In 1994, she joined the École normale supérieure de Fontenay-Saint-Cloud. In 2003, she obtained a doctorate in philosophy from Paris-Sorbonne University with a thesis topic on Félix Ravaisson.[1]

She taught philosophy for several years at the Eugène-Ionesco high school in Issy-les-Moulineaux. She also taught at the Janson-de-Sailly high school in Paris. In 2008, she published a novel, Hors de moi , published by Allia and an essay, Violences de la maladie, violence de la vie, published by Armand Colin.[2]

From 2011, she was an associate professor of philosophy in the preparatory class at the Alfred-Kastler high school in Cergy-Pontoise. She is a member of the International Center for the Study of Contemporary French Philosophy at the École normale supérieure at rue d'Ulm. Rupture(s) was, published in 2019. She lives in Paris.[3]

Her essays, which draw on literature and philosophy, have received numerous awards.[citation needed]
