Claire Jones is a former camogie player, winner of nine Galway Senior Camogie Championship medals with Oranmore during their period of ascendancy in the ’60s and ’70s.[1]
Career
[edit]They were in ’66, ’67, ’68, ’69, ’70, ’71, ’72, ’73 & ’74. Born in Galway, she also won a Camogie All Ireland runners-up medal with Oranmore in ’67 earned after a hotly contested replay.[citation needed]
