Charlie Budd is an Australian professional Muay Thai fighter, currently competing in the Light Heavyweight division, where he is the reigning WBC champion. He's ranked as the 2nd Light Heavyweight by Combatpress in January 2025 and ranked the number 1 contender by the WMO May 2025.[1][2]
Kickboxing Career

[edit]WKBF World Title
[edit]Charlie Budd faced off against former Glory fighter Mark Timms for the WKBF World Title.[3][4] He won the fight via decision and claimed his first ever world title.[5][6][7]
WBC World Title Challenge
[edit]On June 15th. 2021 Charlie Budd fought George Mann for the Vacant WBC Light Heavyweigth belt.[8] He lost the fight via split decision.[9]
Budd Vs Lund III
[edit]Charlie Budd won the right to challenge for the Light heavyweight title by facing of against Jake Lund for the 3th time.[10] He won via decision after 5 rounds.[11][12]
WBC Championship
[edit]Budd won the WBC Light heavyweight championship April 27, 2024 against Marcus Sundin Liljedorff via TKO in the 3th round.[13][14]
Budd defended his WBC title October 19, 2024 against Jomkhon Kiatnongluang.[15] He won via KO in the 3th Round.[16]
Budd was set to defend his title February 22. 2025 against ONE Championship fighter Mouhcine Chafi, but i was canceled because Chafi couldnt get a exemption from his ONE contract.[17]
