Caleb Lohner (born January 1, 2001)[1] is an American professional football tight end for the Denver Broncos of the National Football League (NFL). He played college basketball at BYU and Baylor before switching to playing football upon transferring to Utah.

Early life

Lohner attended Flower Mound High School in Flower Mound, Texas for two years before he transferred to Wasatch Academy in Utah for his junior and senior year.[2]

College career

Lohner started his college career at Brigham Young University in 2020, where his father had played basketball. As a freshman basketball player, he averaged 2.8 points per game and was named to the West Coast Conference All-Freshman Team.[2][3]

Baylor

Lohner transferred to Baylor in 2022 to play basketball. Lohner played for the Bears for two seasons appearing in 69 games averaging 2.8 points and 2.8 rebounds per game.[4]

Utah

Lohner transferred to play for the Utah Utes to play college football.[5] In 2024, he hauled in four passes for 54 yards and four touchdowns.[6]

He also played one year of basketball with Utah in 2024–25, Lohner averaged 2.8 points, 2.0 points, and 0.7 assists per game.[7]
