Brunno Ferreira (born November 4, 1992), also known by his nickname "The Hulk", is a Brazilian professional mixed martial artist who competes in the Middleweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). Known for his explosive power and aggressive style, Ferreira has finished all of his professional wins by either knockout or submission, with the majority coming in the first round.
Early life
[edit]Ferreira was born and raised in Curitiba, Brazil. A naturally energetic and combative child, he began training in judo at the age of four on the recommendation of a sensei who sought to channel his energy into discipline. Over the years, he expanded his training to include Brazilian jiu-jitsu and striking arts, eventually transitioning into mixed martial arts. He is a three-time national judo champion and a runner-up in both the Pan-American Games and world no-gi jiu-jitsu championships.
Personal life
[edit]Before becoming a professional fighter, Ferreira worked various jobs including as a judo instructor, office assistant, bicycle courier, and nightclub security guard. He credits his family and mentors such as Wanderlei Silva and André Dida as major influences in his life and career.
Mixed martial arts career

[edit]Ferreira made his professional MMA debut in 2019 and quickly gained attention for his finishing ability. Competing in regional promotions across Brazil, he amassed an undefeated record with a string of first-round knockouts and submissions.
Dana White's Contender Series
[edit]In September 2022, Ferreira appeared on Dana White's Contender Series, where he defeated Leon Aliu via first-round TKO, earning a UFC contract.
Ultimate Fighting Championship
[edit]Ferreira made his UFC debut on January 21, 2023, at UFC 283, where he knocked out Gregory Rodrigues in the first round. He has since faced several notable opponents, including Phil Hawes, Dustin Stoltzfus, and Abus Magomedov. As of July 2025, he holds a professional record of 13 wins and 2 losses.
