He completed his AB degree in political science at the Ateneo de Manila University in 2013. From 2017 to 2018, he attended executive courses at the University of Pennsylvania, Stanford University, Harvard Kennedy School, and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. In 2018, he earned his Master of Arts degree in climate and society from Columbia University in New York, US.[2]

In 2022, Llamanzares completed his Doctor of Public Administration degree at the University of Perpetual Help.[3] He also earned a Master in National Security Administration (MNSA) degree from the National Defense College of the Philippines in June 2024.[4]

Career

[edit]

Llamanzares began his professional career as a reporter for CNN Philippines.[5] He later transitioned into politics, serving as a campaign coordinator during the senatorial and presidential campaigns of his mother, Senator Grace Poe. In 2019, he took on the role of campaign manager for her successful re-election bid.

In July 2019, Llamanzares was appointed as chief of staff of his mother, managing legislative initiatives and public service projects.[3]

Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, Llamanzares co-founded the FPJ Panday Bayanihan, a non-government organization focused on providing relief and medical assistance. The organization mobilized resources and manpower to distribute personal protective equipment (PPEs), testing kits, and other essential supplies to communities across the Philippines.[6]

In 2022, Llamanzares published the book A Sustainable Future (ISBN 978-6219663533), where he discusses sustainability from the perspective of the Philippines. The book explores actionable strategies to address environmental, economic, and social challenges in the country.

FPJ Panday Bayanihan contested the party-list elections for the House of Representatives in 2025, with Llamanzares as its first nominee for representative.[7] With 1.28% of the party-list vote and placing 15th overall, FPJ Panday Bayanihan was given one seat in the House of Representatives.[8]
