Method of Study
[edit]Boston City Campus is accredited in the Open Distance e-Learning methodology (ODeL), with support.
Boston City Campus employs technology-enhanced learning methods, supporting flexible, self-paced education through digital and online platforms. This approach allows students to access and review learning materials at their convenience, contributing to improved knowledge retention and academic performance. The model also accommodates students who wish to balance work, personal responsibilities, and study, with the added benefit of reducing travel and living costs.
While Boston City Campus operates as a distance education provider, it maintains a network of 47 Support Centres across South Africa. These centres offer academic support and access to campus-based services, fostering a more connected student experience.
The institution emphasises personalised academic support through proactive monitoring and mentoring systems. Students have access to online educators and on-site advisors who assist with goal setting, module selection, progress tracking, academic problem-solving, and connecting to learning resources. This integrated support framework aims to promote student success and high completion rates.
