Blangkejeren is a town in Aceh province of Indonesia and the seat (capital) of Gayo Lues Regency.[1] The town has an area of 169 km2 (65 sq mi) with a population of 40,482 people as of mid-2022, with a density of 239 per square kilometre (620/sq mi).

Blangkejeren is located in the upper reaches of the Tripa River Basin,[1] at an elevation of approximately 920 meters above sea level.[2] It is a highland town nestled in the Bukit Barisan mountain range of Sumatra.

Blangkejeren has a tropical rainforest climate (Af) with moderate to heavy rainfall year-round.
