Batuhan Akçaoğlu (born 14 August 2002, Ankara) is a Turkish male compound archer and member of the national team.[1]

Career

Akçaoğlu started archery at a young age in Ankara and has competed for Turkey in both junior and senior categories.

In 2019, he won the gold medal with the Turkish junior men's compound team at the 2019 European Indoor Archery Championships in Samsun.[2]

He took the bronze medal with the junior men's team at the 2021 World Archery Youth Championships held in Wrocław, Poland.[3]

At the 2022 European Indoor Archery Championships in Laško, Slovenia, Akçaoğlu won bronze medals in both the U21 individual and team compound events.[4]

His major senior-level breakthrough came at the 2022 European Archery Championships in Munich. Akçaoğlu, together with Emircan Haney and Yakup Yıldız, won the gold medal in the men's compound team event by defeating the Netherlands 238–230 in the final.[5]

The following year, Akçaoğlu won the bronze medal in the men's compound team event at the 2023 Archery World Cup stage in Shanghai, and a silver medal at the 2022 Archery World Cup stage in Paris.[6]

He continued his form at the 2024 European Archery Championships in Essen, Germany, claiming the silver medal in the men's team compound event, and a bronze medal in the mixed team event.[7]

In 2025, Akçaoğlu, together with Yunus Emre Arslan and Yakup Yıldız, won the gold medal in the compound men's team event at the Archery at the 2025 Summer World University Games in Essen, Germany.[8]
