Baron of Cruzeiro was a noble title created by King Luís I of Portugal, by Decree of 21 October and Royal Charter of 28 October 1875, in favour of Francisco Luís Ferreira Tavares.[1]

Coat of arms
[edit]A shield parted per pale: on the first, the arms of the Ferreiras — on a red field, four gold bars; on the second, the arms of the Silvas — on a silver field, a lion rampant in purple, armed in blue.[2]
Crest, that of the Ferreiras — an emu in its natural colour with a horseshoe in its beak. And for a mark of cadency, a silver brica with a blue ring.[2]
