At Work (French: À pied d'œuvre) is an upcoming French drama film co-written and directed by Valérie Donzelli, based on the novel of the same name by Franck Courtès . It stars Bastien Bouillon, Virginie Ledoyen, and Marie Rivière.
The film will have its world premiere in the main competition of the 82nd Venice International Film Festival on 29 August 2025, where it was nominated for the Golden Lion.

[edit]On 18 March 2024, it was announced that Valérie Donzelli was adapting the novel À pied d'œuvre by photographer Franck Courtès into a film.[1] The film received an avance sur recettes grant from France's Centre national du cinéma et de l'image animée (CNC) in January 2025.[2] Bastien Bouillon, Virginie Ledoyen, and Marie Rivière were announced as cast members on 11 February 2025.[3] Principal photography began on 17 February 2025. The film was shot over six weeks in and around Paris.[4]
Release
[edit]Kinology acquired the international sales rights to the film in July 2025.[5] The film will premiere in the main competition of the 82nd Venice International Film Festival.[6][7] It will be released by Diaphana Films in France and Teodora in Italy.[4][5]
