Alireza Abdevali (Persian: علیرضا عبدولی; born 27 May 2004) is an Iranian Greco-Roman wrestler competing in the 77 kg weight class.[1]

Career

At the 2025 Asian Wrestling Championships held in Amman, Jordan, Abdevali won the silver medal in the 77 kg category. He received a bye in the first round, then defeated Lai Yao of Chinese Taipei by technical superiority (11–2). In the semifinals, he overcame Yrysbek Maksatbek Uulu of Kyrgyzstan 4–3, but lost the final to Aram Vardanyan of Uzbekistan, 2–4.[2]

He is a two-time World Junior Champion, winning gold medals in both 2023 and 2024 in the 77 kg Greco-Roman category. He also won a silver medal at the 2023 World Military Wrestling Championships in Baku, competing in the 82 kg category.[3]

In earlier years, Abdevali won silver at the 2021 World Cadet Wrestling Championships in Budapest in the 60 kg class, and secured bronze at the 2023 Asian Junior Wrestling Championships.[4]
