Adelaide Metro bus route 101 is a cross-town bus route in Adelaide, South Australia, operated by Torrens Transit on behalf of Adelaide Metro.[1] The service provides an important connection between Adelaide’s western and southern suburbs, linking the Arndale Centre Interchange in Kilkenny with Flinders University and Flinders Medical Centre in Bedford Park.[1]
Route
[edit]Starting at Arndale Centre Interchange (Zone A), the 101 bus travels south along Woodville Road, Holbrooks Road, Marion Road, and Sturt Road before finishing at Flinders University Interchange (Zone B). The route passes a number of key destinations, including the Queen Elizabeth Hospital and several busy suburban shopping and residential areas.[1]
The total route length is around 22 kilometres, and a one-way trip typically takes just under an hour to complete, depending on traffic conditions.[2]
Service
[edit]Route 101 operates on weekdays (Monday to Friday), excluding public holidays.[1] Services usually start in the early morning and continue until early evening.
Bus frequency varies throughout the day, with buses generally running every 30 to 70 minutes. Services are more frequent during peak travel times to cater for commuters and university students heading to and from Flinders University and the Flinders Medical Centre.[1]
