ATLAS (Thai: แอทลาส) is a Thai Boy band, the second artist group and the first male artist group of XOXO Entertainment. Officially launched on December 7, 2021 at the CentralWorld forecourt, CentralWorld shopping mall, consisting of seven members: Junior, Jet, Poom, Nice, Erwin, Muon and Tad.[1]
Name
[edit]The band's name has two meanings: "Titan" who carries the world and "map". So, Atlas is like the 7 young men who will be explorers of the world and the stars and stories that will take people to explore together. Atlas also named their fan club "A-lis", where the word "A-lis" in Latin means "wings". So, if Atlas is an explorer, then "A-lis" is a wing that will always be by their side, exploring new areas together.[2]

[edit]XOXO Entertainment, the agency of the 7 girls of 4Eve, has announced that it will reveal the name of the first 'boy band' of the agency. On September 3, 2021, the official name of the first new boy band of XOXO Entertainment was announced as 'ATLAS', consisting of 7 members in total. The group ATLAS has a smiling icon symbol "^^" and in the word ALTAS, there are various shapes that look like the characters of the boys, such as a basketball, a tree, a teddy bear, a book, a musical note, a rocket, a panda, a train.[3] And on September 19, 2021, the first short member introduction clip was released for fans to see all 7 members.[4] All seven members of the group were former 4nologue trainees before moving to XOXO Entertainment as artists.
ATLAS DEBUT SHOWCASE
[edit]On December 7, 2021, Atlas held their first single launch event at the Central World forecourt, hosted by Supaporn Wongthuaythong on stage, and released their first single, "MAYDAY MAYDAY".[5] And the name of the fan club was announced, with 4Eve, a senior in the label, joining the show at the event.[6]

[edit]"MAYDAY MAYDAY" is an electronic hip-hop dance single. It tells the story of youth energy, determination, belief, and courage. It's like a fuel that's fully charged and ready to ignite, to shoot out and never be extinguished. No matter what they face, no matter how hard it is, they're ready to go through it. They won't back down, but will soar higher and higher without stopping. It was produced by NINO, Ben, and Pun from LUSS, along with Golf F.HERO. The music video was directed by Louis-Tacha Kongkakhet under the concept of "The Explorer." The content tells the story of 7 explorers who embark on an adventure, exploring new lands, and searching for the precious essence of those lands, to bring back to create a new world.[7]
