Abu Zafar Mohammod (also A.Z.M. Shofiuddin Shamim; born 10 January 1969)[5] is a Bangladeshi politician and businessman.[6] He is chairman of SQ Group, a business founded by his father in 1961.[7][8]
Personal life
[edit]Shamim was born on 10 January 1969 in Barura Upazila, Cumilla.[9] He completed his primary-level education at a district school. He completed H.S.C. at Comilla Government College. and B.Com. (Hon's) completed at Dhaka University. He was completed MBA degree from the University of the West of Scotland.
Career
[edit]Shamim is the vice president of the Comilla South District Awami League.[10] He was submitted his nomination form to contest the Jatiya Sangsad election in Comilla-8 on 18 November 2023.[11] He was elected to chairman of SBAC Bank in 2023.[12] He was elected to the Bangladesh Parliament from Comilla-8.
