The 2025 Italian regional elections are scheduled to take place in seven regions of Italy over the course of the year. These elections follow the 2025 Italian referendum, which did not reach the required quorum for validity due to low voter turnout.[1] The regional elections are set against a backdrop of heightened political tension and growing ideological divides, particularly between the governing Meloni administration, which aligns with right to far-right wing policies, and the centre-left opposition.[2]
