The 2024 Haiti missionary killings refer to the deaths of American missionaries Davy and Natalie Lloyd in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, on May 23, 2024.[1][2][3] The couple, both in their early twenties, and their Haitian colleague, Jude Montis, were attacked by gang members after attending a church youth event.[4] The attackers stole their belongings, forced the group into a nearby house, where all three were fatally shot.[5] The bodies were set on fire before the attackers left the scene.[6] The incident occurred during a period of gang violence in the capital, which led to increased security risks for foreign nationals in Haiti.[7]
