The 2024–25 Wagner Seahawks men's basketball team represented Wagner College during the 2024–25 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Seahawks, led by third-year head coach Donald Copeland, played their home games at the Spiro Sports Center in Staten Island, New York as members of the Northeast Conference (NEC). They finished the season 14–16, 6–10 in NEC play, to finish in seventh place.[1]

Previous season

[edit]

The Seahawks finished the 2023–24 season 17–16, 7–9 in NEC play, to finish in sixth place.[2] They defeated Sacred Heart,[3] Central Connecticut[4] and Merrimack to win the NEC tournament championship, earning their first NCAA tournament appearance since 2003, and, in turn, earning the NEC's automatic bid to the NCAA tournament.[5] They received the #16 seed in the West Region, where they defeated Howard in the First Four[6] before falling to top region seed North Carolina in the first round.[7]
