The Austrian Volleyball Association (German: Österreichischer Volleyballverband, ÖVV) is the governing body for volleyball in Austria. It was founded on March 14, 1953, by Rudolf Hautmann, who served as the first president. The initial member clubs came from Vienna, its surrounding areas, and Lower Austria.

History

Since its founding, the ÖVV has been a member of the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) [1] [2] and the European Volleyball Confederation (CEV).[3] The federation is responsible for organizing national championships, cups, and beach volleyball competitions for both men and women.

The ÖVV organizes various competitions, including: - Austrian Championships for men and women, with the winners crowned as the Austrian national champions. - Austrian Volleyball Cup for both genders. - Beach volleyball tournaments and events.
