Ansar al-Mahdi Protection Corps are a military unit of Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps
History
[edit]It was founded in 1989 after the split of Ansar al-Imam (Guard Corps) and Vali-ye Amr special forces unit[1][2]
One of the commanders was Ali Nasiri[3]
Their current commander is Fathollah Jamiri[4]
The Mossad hired members of the unit to carry out Assassination of Ismail Haniyeh[5]

[edit]It was the forces of Zanjan province, in 14 June, 2025 in Iran–Israel war declared the death of five of his fighters named after Commander Reza Najafi, Hassan Rasouli,[6] Hamid Tomari, Akbar Azizi and Amir Khani[7][8][9]
