Views and activities
[edit]Shapiro has become widely known through public lectures and independent media appearances. He maintains that the Zionist movement redefined Jewish identity from a religious community into a nationalist project, which he argues is a distortion of traditional Judaism.[2][unreliable source]
In a 2025 interview on the podcast *For the Sake of Argument*, Shapiro discussed the historical and philosophical divergence between Judaism and Zionism, stating that the idea of Jewish nationality is incompatible with Torah principles.[3]
His arguments have been widely circulated and debated online.[citation needed]
