Voice call about mw:Edit check/Tone Check

Hi y'all – this Tuesday, 10 June 2025, from 16:00 - 17:00 UTC members of the Wikimedia Foundation's Editing, Machine Learning, and Research Teams will be hosting a voice call in Discord to talk about Tone Check.

For context, Tone Check is an Edit Check that uses a language model to prompt people adding promotional, derogatory, or otherwise subjective language to reconsider the tone of what they are writing.

This conversation is, in part, a response to a prototype being ready for testing and a conversation that emerged at Village pump (WMF).

Ban appeal

Hi. You probably recognize me. (It's fine if you don't, basically I got banned like 3 years ago and.... well it's still all on my mind). I have changed Discord accounts. My new one is luxtayy (I lost the auth stuff for the old one when my phone broke). Appeal

I would like to appeal my back that was placed 1 1/2 years ago in October 2023. I had originally forgot I was banned and had rejoined under my new discord account by accident.
