Question from Alexander Perikles (16:54, 15 May 2025)
[edit]Hi. GreenC bot is creating biased and inaccurate pages. How do we shut down this bot? --Alexander Perikles (talk) 16:54, 15 May 2025 (UTC)
- Hi Alexander Perikles, that sounds very surprising. Bots don't usually create new articles. Can you give me some examples of inaccurate pages that the bot has created? —Mx. Granger (talk · contribs) 13:50, 16 May 2025 (UTC)
- Yes, I can. The "Britain First" page, and the "White Genocide Conspiracy Theory". Alexander Perikles (talk) 15:08, 16 May 2025 (UTC)
- Thanks. Neither of those articles were created by GreenC bot. If you go to either article, click on the "History" tab, and then click "oldest", you can see that they were created years ago by human editors, not by bots.
- But regardless, if there are inaccuracies, they should be corrected. Since those articles are semi-protected, you may not be able to edit them correctly, but you can start a discussion or propose changes at Talk:Britain First or Talk:White genocide conspiracy theory. Or if that seems too daunting, feel free to let me know what the inaccuracies are and I can take a look. —Mx. Granger (talk · contribs) 15:13, 16 May 2025 (UTC)
- Both articles are entirely incorrect. You'll see a long stream of concerns being dismissed by the editors. Those articles should be completely removed. Alexander Perikles (talk) 14:39, 18 May 2025 (UTC)
- Typically, an article is deleted only if the subject it discusses isn't notable, but these two subjects are discussed by many sources, so the articles are unlikely to be deleted on that basis. Instead I think the right approach is to fix inaccuracies one step at a time, always by relying on reliable sources.
- For instance, if there's a claim in the article that's unsourced, or that has a cited source but the source doesn't support the claim, then it can and probably should be removed. You can point these out on the article's talk page.
- If you can find reliable sources that contradict the sources cited in the article, that might also be worth bringing up on the talk page. When sources disagree, Wikipedia should maintain a neutral point of view and give due weight to all significant viewpoints published by reliable sources. (See WP:Verifiability.)
- I'm happy to discuss specific issues here, or you can bring them to the articles' talk pages. In the meantime I'll spot-check a few of the claims in the articles and correct any that I find aren't supported by the cited sources. —Mx. Granger (talk · contribs) 22:12, 18 May 2025 (UTC)
- The articles are racist. They need to be deleted. Alexander Perikles (talk) 16:22, 19 May 2025 (UTC)
- Well, you can nominate them for deletion by following the instructions at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion. Just to warn you, though, you're unlikely to convince anyone by simply declaring the articles racist without any evidence or reasoning for that assessment. —Mx. Granger (talk · contribs) 01:29, 20 May 2025 (UTC)
- I'm quite sure most people are aware that white genocide is not a conspiracy theory. It's a racist article and has no place on Wikipedia. Alexander Perikles (talk) 19:22, 24 May 2025 (UTC)
- It sounds like you may need to reread the sources. —Mx. Granger (talk · contribs) 01:46, 26 May 2025 (UTC)
- The article was posted as a fact check under Leo Kearse's latest YouTube video about white genocide in South Africa. It was removed the same day because Leo Kearse's video included definitive video evidence of white genocide. Having friends in Durban and remote areas within South Africa, I've known about white genocide for almost a decade. I think we can confidently declare that white genocide is a real issue and not a conspiracy theory. This article must be deleted. Alexander Perikles (talk) 13:28, 26 May 2025 (UTC)
- A YouTube video of a comedian is unlikely to be considered a reliable source on this topic, but if you can find reliable sources (for example, scholarly sources or reputable news sources), you can certainly present them at the article's talk page. Like I said above, the article is unlikely to be deleted, but you are welcome to try. —Mx. Granger (talk · contribs) 13:27, 28 May 2025 (UTC)
- Did you watch the clips Leo played? Being a comedian doesn't dismiss Leo from being factual in his comedic delivery of a serious issue. Again, I personally know white genocide to be true. Are you anti-white? Please take down the Wikipedia page. That page claiming there is no white genocide would be akin to a page saying the Halocaust didn't happen. Having multicultural ancestry including Aryan and Sephardic genetics, I can confidently say both issues are very real and any articles stating otherwise should be taken down. In this instance, the article claiming White Genocide is a Conspiracy Theory should be taken down. Again today, it is posted under another video. Everyone knows the article is false propaganda being used to harrass viewers on YouTube. I would be grateful if you would expedite its removal. Thank you. Alexander Perikles (talk) 15:48, 31 May 2025 (UTC)
- I haven't watched any of Leo Kearse's videos, no. My last comment (from 13:27, 28 May 2025) has the best advice I can give you on this issue. —Mx. Granger (talk · contribs) 16:44, 1 June 2025 (UTC)

Question from Zeiv.esmero (03:04, 26 May 2025)
[edit]How do I make an article for awards received by music artist --Zeiv.esmero (talk) 03:04, 26 May 2025 (UTC)
- Hi Zeiv.esmero, thanks for the message. I would suggest starting by taking a look at Wikipedia:Stand-alone lists for the relevant guideline. Then you can look at some similar articles like List of awards and nominations received by Aerosmith to get an idea of what those articles look like. Then you can start the article using the instructions at Help:Your first article. Let me know if you have any follow-up questions! —Mx. Granger (talk · contribs) 03:20, 26 May 2025 (UTC)
Question from Agarwalkabir (10:26, 29 May 2025)
[edit]I want to submit an article about the market research company, Next Move Strategy Consulting and I shall add some reference links in the content as sources/suggestions. However, I tried doing so before and continuously got blocked or deleted. Could you guide me? --Agarwalkabir (talk) 10:26, 29 May 2025 (UTC)
- Hi Agarwalkabir, thanks for the message. It looks like Draft:Next Move Strategy Consulting was deleted on the basis of being "unambiguous advertising or promotion", so I would suggest trying again, following the WP:Articles for creation process, and making sure that your draft is completely supported by reliable sources, with a focus on sources that are independent of the company, and rigorously neutral. The article should read like it was written by a third party unaffiliated with Next Move Strategy Consulting. If it reads like a press release or marketing material, it's likely to be deleted again. Happy to give further guidance if it would be helpful. Please let me know if you have any follow-up questions! —Mx. Granger (talk · contribs) 16:52, 1 June 2025 (UTC)
- could you provide any samples? Like how do I proceed. Ours is a market research company Agarwalkabir (talk) 05:48, 3 June 2025 (UTC)
- Sure, here are some "featured" articles about companies, meaning that they've been identified as some of Wikipedia's highest-quality articles: Toys for Bob, Oliver Typewriter Company, Elderly Instruments, Accolade, Inc., Union Films. I can also show you two articles I started about companies: Chicecream and Kangmei Pharmaceutical. All of these articles should give you an example of how to write from a neutral point of view based on reliable sources.
- Good examples of sources to use include articles from mainstream news sources, papers published in academic journals, and books by scholarly writers.
- In terms of how to proceed, you can follow the instructions at WP:Articles for creation. When you create your draft, feel free to let me know, and I'd be happy to take a look and give you some initial feedback. —Mx. Granger (talk · contribs) 13:44, 4 June 2025 (UTC)
