Please use edit summaries
[edit] Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. I noticed that one or more recent edit(s) you made did not have an edit summary. You can use the edit summary field to explain your reasoning for an edit, or to provide a description of what the edit changes. Summaries save time for other editors and reduce the chances that your edit will be misunderstood. For some edits, an adequate summary may be quite brief.
The edit summary field looks like this:
Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)
Please provide an edit summary for every edit you make. With a Wikipedia account, you can give yourself a reminder by setting Preferences → Editing → Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary (or the default undo summary), and then click the "Save" button.
Thanks! Flibirigit (talk) 14:33, 8 December 2024 (UTC)
- Thanks for letting me know- I wasn't fully sure what that was meant for and after your explanation it makes sense. :) Everythingwii (talk) 03:10, 9 December 2024 (UTC)

[edit] Hello, I'm Yutah123. I noticed that you recently removed content from Different World (Alan Walker song) without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Not sure if it was intentional, but you removed a reference and all the charts from the article. Don't worry, I've readded them for you, but next time checking the results might be a good idea. – Yutah123|UPage|(talk)✶ 03:28, 21 December 2024 (UTC)
- hello! Yeah, that was a mistake, and I'm honestly not sure how I removed a whole section of the article in the first place. I began to fix it but then someone immediately restored it and I didn't get a chance to restore everything myself. Terribly sorry but glad everything is back to normal! Everythingwii (talk) 00:56, 22 December 2024 (UTC)
- No problem! Glad to hear it was just an honest mistake. Happy editing! – Yutah123|UPage|(talk)✶ 01:56, 22 December 2024 (UTC)
Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. Constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, but a recent edit of yours to the page Different World (Alan Walker song) has an edit summary that appears to be inadequate, inaccurate, or inappropriate. The summaries are helpful to people browsing an article's history, so it is important that you use edit summaries that accurately tell other editors what you did. Feel free to use the sandbox to make test edits. One of your edit summaries was "Content additions", but the edit in question removed over 2,500 bytes of data in total. I almost mistook the edit for vandalism, so I would appreciate a more nuanced summary the next time you make a large edit. Thank you for reading.

Wikipedia and copyright
[edit] Hello Everythingwii! Your additions to Corpse Party: Book of Shadows have been removed in whole or in part, as they appear to have added copyrighted content without evidence that the source material is in the public domain or has been released by its owner or legal agent under a suitably free and compatible copyright license. (To request such a release, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission.) While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, it's important to understand and adhere to guidelines about using information from sources to prevent copyright and plagiarism issues. Here are the key points:
- Limited quotation: You may only copy or translate a small portion of a source. Any direct quotations must be enclosed in double quotation marks (") and properly cited using an inline citation. More information is available on the non-free content page. To learn how to cite a source, see Help:Referencing for beginners.
- Paraphrasing: Beyond limited quotations, you are required to put all information in your own words. Following the source's wording too closely can lead to copyright issues and is not permitted; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. Even when paraphrasing, you must still cite your sources as appropriate.
- Image use guidelines: In most scenarios, only freely licensed or public domain images may be used and these should be uploaded to our sister project, Wikimedia Commons. In some scenarios, non-freely copyrighted content can be used if they meet all ten of our non-free content criteria; Wikipedia:Plain and simple non-free content guide may help with determining a file's eligibility.
- Copyrighted material donation: If you hold the copyright to the content you want to copy, or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license the text for publication here. Please see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
- Copying and translation within Wikipedia: Wikipedia articles can be copied or translated, however they must have proper attribution in accordance with Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. For translation, see Help:Translation § Licensing.
It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices. Persistent failure to comply may result in being blocked from editing. If you have any questions or need further clarification, please ask them here on this page, or leave a message on my talk page. Thank you. - Thank you for letting me know about this! This portion (I assume you are talking about plot) was copied from another article on Wikipedia about the game series in general. There wasn't an article for the specific game so I split it apart. I didn't realize there were guidelines for copying wikipedia-based content, and I'll make sure to properly attribute the original creator next time. This was very helpful, thanks. I have sent you a note about a page you started
[edit]Hi Everythingwii. Thank you for your work on Corpse Party: Blood Drive. Another editor, Vrxces, has reviewed it as part of new pages patrol and left the following comment:
Great work on getting the page published - it looks like this mostly follows the WP:VG/MOS and has some good citations. As some feedback, you may like to add a gameplay section, which is usually the cornerstone of video game articles. The plot is also written from the perspective of a person who is already familiar with the game, and could be framed more generally. Nice work!
