Ritesh Hada (born 26 October 1980) is an Indian entrepreneur, educationist, and philanthropist. He is the Promoter & Managing Director of the United Group and the President of Karnavati University, a multidisciplinary private university based in Gujarat, India. Hada is noted for his role in building globally benchmarked institutions in higher education and fostering industry-academia collaboration. [1][2][3][4][5][6][7]

Early life and education

Ritesh Hada was born in Kolkata, India, to Kamalkishore Hada and Dropdi Hada. He completed his undergraduate studies at Bhawanipur Education Society College in Kolkata and later earned a postgraduate degree in Marketing from De Montfort University, United Kingdom. [citation needed]

Career

In 2004, Hada moved to Ahmedabad, Gujarat, where he founded the Karnavati Medical Education Trust (KMET). Under his leadership, the trust established:

Karnavati School of Dentistry (KSD) – one of the early dental education institutions in Gujarat [8]

Unitedworld School of Business (UWSB) – established in 2007

Unitedworld Institute of Design (UID) – established in 2012 [9][10][11][12][13]

Unitedworld School of Law (UWSL) – a specialized law school [14][15]

In 2017, KMET was granted private university status, leading to the formation of Karnavati University, which today includes:

Under Hada’s leadership, Karnavati University has developed collaborations with international universities and industry partners, and is recognized as one of India’s prominent multidisciplinary private universities. [16][17]
